Thomas
Tom Tom came to us as a feral cat rescued by a longtime client. He needed a double entropian surgery to fix his eye lids. During hospitalization, Thomas became quite friendly and the Southshore staff fell madly in love. Unable to come to a decision to release him, Dr. Chris' grandmother stepped in and adopted Tom Tom so he could stay as an indoor cat. Eventually, Thomas came to live at the clinic where you can find him roaming the halls or sleeping under the reception desk. He loves belly rubs and ear scratches.
In Loving Memory of Charlie (AKA King Charles) 👑🐾
Charlie came to Southshore Animal Hospital during a difficult moment in his life. He was brought to Dr. Chris unable to urinate, and after two weeks of tireless efforts to help unblock him, it became clear that surgery was his only chance. When his previous owner was unable to afford the procedure, something special happened—Dr. Chris fell in love with Charlie. Ownership was signed over, and with a full heart, Dr. Chris performed a lifesaving perineal urethrostomy pro bono.
From that moment on, Charlie wasn’t just a patient—he became family. His recovery was matched only by his incredible affection, and it didn’t take long for us to realize he had claimed Southshore as his kingdom. Thus, King Charles was crowned.
Charlie ruled with gentleness and charm. You could often find him making his rounds, seeking out ear rubs, affection, and reminding everyone that love is the most important part of healing. He brought comfort to our staff, smiles to our clients, and warmth to our clinic every single day.
Though his reign has ended, his legacy lives on in the halls of Southshore Animal Hospital and in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him. We are forever grateful for the time we shared with our beloved clinic cat, our king, our Charlie.
Rest easy, Charlie. You were deeply loved and will never be forgotten. 💙🐾
