She moved to the New Orleans area with her husband, Michael in 2015. She has 2 dogs, Max and Dakota as well as cat named Maya. She joined the Southshore team in 2015. She is the practice manager for our Bucktown location.

Ashley

Ashley is our head Veterinary Technician for the Bucktown location. She was born and raised in the New Orleans area. She has worked in a few veterinary clinics over the past 10 years. When she is not working at SSAH, she is home caring for her adorable daughter, Isabella and their 3 dogs, Kayto, Satchmo and Rosco as well as their cat, Bruno.

Selina

Selina was born and raised in Metairie. She comes from a large family, being one of 5 children. She began volunteer work with animals at the age of 16. After high school, she enrolled in college seeking a Criminal Justice degree but soon realized that college was not for her. During her time in college, she had started working with a veterinarian in New Orleans. She continued to work there for about two years after until starting to work at Petco as a groomer's assistant. Shortly after, she started the groomer apprenticeship and eventually worked with a mobile grooming service. After about a year with them, she decided to look for a place that was less hectic and had a more personable space with pet's and their owners. That's when she decided to join our team in mid 2016.

Ashley

Ashley was born and raised on the bayou in Des Allemands, La. She graduated from Hahnville High School in 2014. After high school, she studied cosmetology at the Aveda Institute New Orleans where she graduated in 2015. Ashley has 2 dogs, Chopper and Clyde Anthony, as well as a cat, Nanu. She enjoys spending her free time fishing with her boyfriend, David.

Cynthia

Cynthia was born in Los Angeles and raised in New Orleans from the age of 7. She started working in the veterinary field in 2006. She has a daughter named Victoria and 1 terrier mix fur-baby named Indica. She enjoys working with animals. She joined our team in mid 2017 and is looking forward to many years to come. In her free time she loves exploring nature, barbequing at the beach with her family and watching movies.

Brandy

Brandy grew up in the Kenner area and started working in the veterinary field in 1989 at the age of 15. Her passion and love for animals has kept her working in the field. Brandy joined our team in July of 2017. She has been married to her husband Ronnie for 20 years and has 2 children, Gannon and Claudia. She also shares her home with 2 dogs, Finn and Baxter, 3 cats, Archie, Berry and Deeda, 2 turtles, Paddington and Southern and many tropical fish.

Anna

Anna was born and raised in New Orleans. The second word out of her mouth was ‘dog’ and her earliest memory is horseback riding. Not surprisingly, she knew she wanted to be a veterinarian as a young girl. That dream took her to Loyola University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry, and is currently applying to veterinary schools. She has been with Southshore since 2013. When she’s not working, she’s either playing with her 4 cats and 1 dog or she’s studying for another class.

Charlie AKA King Charles

Charlie came to Southshore Animal Hospital when he was brought to Dr. Chris by his previous owner. He was not able to urinate, and after trying for 2 weeks to unblock him, Dr. Chris decided to do a surgery to help him urinate. The owner was not able to afford the surgery and Dr. Chris fell in love with Charlie and decided to have the owner sign over ownership to us. Dr. Chris did the surgery Pro Bono and officially performed a perineal urethrostomy on him. Charlie was so lovable we decided to keep him in our clinic where he is the King. You can often find him looking for someone to rub his ears and love on him.

Thomas

Tom Tom came to us as a feral cat rescued by a longtime client. He needed a double entropian surgery to fix his eye lids. During hospitalization, Thomas became quite friendly and the Southshore staff fell madly in love. Unable to come to a decision to release him, Dr. Chris' grandmother stepped in and adopted Tom Tom so he could stay as an indoor cat. Eventually, Thomas came to live at the clinic where you can find him roaming the halls or sleeping under the reception desk. He loves belly rubs and ear scratches.
